WELCOME TO THE WALLINGFORD GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE

WGSL is a place where great friends are made, wonderful experiences happen, and cherished memories are created. We are one big family!

We are the largest and oldest youth softball league in Wallingford and have been in existence for 45 years.
We are a slow pitch league. In fact, the only one in the state of Connecticut.

Why slow pitch?
Slow pitch means more hits, less walks, more fielding, more action, and more fun. Slow pitch is a game for all ages and all abilities. You will see more action at all the team positions, giving players a better chance at developing their skills. Slow pitch does not mean less competitive. In fact, our league offers very competitive divisions in a very non-intimidating atmosphere.

All of our games are played in town!
We offer four divisions that allow each girl to progress to more challenging play as they move through each level. We offer player Clinics, All-Star games, Alumni games, and a year end Jamboree with softball competitions and other fun activities!

Division Information

Instructional Division:
This division is for girls entering Pre K 4 through 1st grade. This is our T-ball division.
There are 2 games a week and 1 designated practice day. All games or practices will be on a combo of Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Saturday mornings.

Clinic Division:
This division is for girls entering 2nd and 3rd grade. This is a coach pitch division. There are 2 games a week and 1 designated practice day. All games or practices will be on a combo of Mondays, Wednesdays, and/or Saturday mornings.

Junior Division:
This is for girls entering 4th through 7th grade. This is player pitch and full game mode. There are 2-3 games a week and are primarily played on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturday mornings.

Senior Division:
This is for girls entering 8th through 12th grade. Game days are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sunday Morning.
